What’s Next?

As I ponder what is the next step for me on 2016, I started to realize the following things:

1. I’m not getting any younger.
2. My health is at a greater risk.
3. My spending habits has to improve.
4. My earning power has to be more diverse and less stressful.
5. I have to spend more time with my family.
6. Music is my haven.

These things will have to be considered on each and every decision I make from now on.
Both for myself and my family.

But before 2016… I want to relax and spend the holiday season with people close to my heart. I’m coming home 🙂

AmpKit is Awesome!!!

Received my AmpKit Link II guitar interface yesterday. Tried it for 20 minutes (since it’s already late and other hotel guests may complain of noise) and I was really amazed!!! Can’t wait to use it this Sunday for our 2nd jam session with new band mates.

I’ll be busy experimenting on my own rig setups the whole week.

Thanks Amazon for delivering my order a day earlier than what was promised!!!

Banda Rito, Banda Roon

I am considering to form a band. A band who will be playing music for fun. Perhaps perform a couple of sets in front of friends and families on occasions.

I need the following:
Drummer
Bass Guitarist
Guitarist
Vocalist

I will either be playing the Bass part or the rhythm guitar part.
Hope to find musically inclined folks near my town (Naic, Cavite).

If you are interested, let’s meet this December when I go back to the PHL.

5 Reasons Why I want to go Back to the PHL today

  1. To be with my family. Number one reason obviously. Homesick!
  2. To watch the movie Heneral Luna.
  3. To eat hearty meals at home.
  4. To get a decent haircut at Tricia’s Salon.
  5. To visit my dentist.

Ahhh this job… financially rewarding but keeps me always away from my family and country.

#Dutertezoned

Many hopeful supporters of Mayor Rodrigo Duterte of Davao City were expressing disappointment yesterday as the man touted to be the next president of the republic filed his COC (thru a representative)…for Mayor.

#Dutertezoned was trending yesterday and it was a field day for those creative minds who can’t help but post memes and funny quotes about the situation.

#Paasa!

Satan’s Meeting (forwarded email)

Satan called a worldwide convention of demons.

In his opening address he said,

“We can’t keep Christians from going to church.”

“We can’t keep them from reading their Bibles and knowing the truth….”

“We can’t even keep them from forming an intimate relationship with
Their SAVIOR.”

“Once they gain that connection with JESUS, our power over them is
Broken.”

“So let them go to their churches; let them have their covered dish dinners,
BUT steal their time, so they don’t have time to develop a relationship
With JESUS CHRIST..”

“This is what I want you to do,” said the devil:

“Distract them from gaining hold of their SAVIOR and maintaining that
Vital connection throughout their day!”

“How shall we do this?” his demons shouted.

“Keep them busy in the non-essentials of life and invent innumerable
Schemes to occupy their minds,” he answered….

“Tempt them to spend, spend, spend, and borrow, borrow, borrow.”

“Persuade the wives to go to work for long hours and the husbands to work
6-7 days each week, 10-12 hours a day, so they can afford their empty
Lifestyles.”

“Keep them from spending time with their children.”

“As their families fragment, soon, their homes will offer no escape from
The pressures of work!”

“Over-stimulate their minds so that they cannot hear that still, small voice.”

“Entice them to play the radio or I-Pod whenever they drive.” To
Keep the TV, DVDs, CDs and their PCs going constantly in their home and see
To it that every store and restaurant in the world plays non-biblical music
Constantly.”

“Let them play Lil Farm, Farmville and other Facebook games in their computer the whole day so that their time got consumed in that activity alone”

“This will jam their minds and break that union with CHRIST.”

“Fill the coffee tables with magazines and newspapers.”

“Pound their minds with the news 24 hours a day.”

“Invade their driving moments with billboards.”

“Flood their mailboxes with junk mail, mail order catalogs, sweepstakes, and
Every kind of newsletter and promotional offering free products, services
And false hopes.”

“Keep skinny, beautiful models on the magazines and TV so their husbands
Will believe that outward beauty is what’s important, and they’ll
Become dissatisfied with their wives. ”

“Keep the wives too tired to love their husbands at night.”

“Give them headaches too! ”

“If they don’t give their husbands the love they need, they will begin to
Look elsewhere.”

“That will fragment their families quickly!”

“Give them Santa Claus to distract them from teaching their children the
Real meaning of Christmas..”

“Give them an Easter bunny so they won’t talk about HIS resurrection
And power over sin and death…”

“Even in their recreation, let them be excessive.”

“Have them return from their recreation exhausted.”

“Keep them too busy to go out in nature and reflect on GOD’S creation.
Send them to amusement parks, sporting events, plays, concerts, and movies
Instead.”

“Keep them busy, busy, busy!”

“And when they meet for spiritual fellowship, involve them in gossip and
Small talk so that they leave with troubled consciences. ”

“Crowd their lives with so many good causes they have no time to seek
Power from JESUS.”

“Soon they will be working in their own strength, sacrificing their health
And family for the good of the cause.”

“It will work!”

“It will work!”

It was quite a plan!

The demons went eagerly to their assignments causing Christians everywhere
To get busier & more rushed, going here & there.

Having little time for their GOD or their families.

Having no time to tell others about the power of JESUS to change lives.

I guess the question is, has the devil been successful in his schemes?

You be the judge!!!!!

Does “BUSY” mean: B-eing U-nder S-atan’s Y-oke?

Please pass this on, if you aren’t too BUSY!

I don’t think I know 10 people who would admit they love JESUS..

Do You Love HIM?

Bye Tatay

My dad passed away this afternoon after battling with a slew of illnesses. He left in this world his wife (my nanay), two sons and a daughter.

We will miss you Tatay. I hope you are happy resting in heaven after a long life of hardships and trials.

I am sorry for the times I’ve caused you pain and the times when we argue about things in life.

We never had a chance to talk. I have a million things to share to you but now it’s too late.

Thank you for taking care of us. I love you Tatay! Rest in peace.

Apartment For Rent

A businessman met a beautiful girl and agreed to spend the afternoon with her for £500. They did their thing, and, before he left, he told her that he did not have any cash with him, but he would have his secretary write a cheque and mail it to her, calling the payment “RENT FOR APARTMENT.”

On the way to the office, he regretted what he had done, realizing that the whole event had not been worth the price. So he had his secretary send a cheque for £250 and enclose the following typed note:
“Dear Madam:
Enclosed find a cheque for £250 for rent of your apartment. I am not sending the amount agreed upon, because when I rented the place, I was under the impression that:

1 – It had never been occupied;
2 – There was plenty of heat; and
3 – It was small enough to make me feel cosy and at home.

However, I found out that it had been previously occupied, that there wasn’t any heat, and that it was entirely too large.”

Upon receipt of the note, the girl immediately returned the cheque for £250 with the following note:

“Dear Sir:
First, I cannot understand how you could expect a beautiful apartment to remain unoccupied indefinitely.

As for the heat, there is plenty of it, if you know how to turn it on.

Regarding the space, the apartment is indeed of regular size, but if you don’t have enough furniture to fill it, please do not blame the management.

Please send the rent in full or we will be forced to contact your present landlady.
